What is a Master of International Hotel Management?

A Master of International Hotel Management prepares you to lead and manage hotel operations within the global hospitality industry. Additionally, it connects you with leading hotel brands around the world.

You will explore core business concepts such as management, marketing, revenue generation, research, critical analysis and leadership – all through the specialised lens of hotel management and broader hospitality. In your second year, you’ll undertake an external placement at a hotel organisation to practically apply your academic learnings in a real-world setting.

Master of International Hotel Management

Subjects and units

Delivered both on campus and online, the Master of International Hotel Management comprises of 11 core subjects, one elective, and two compulsory industry placement subjects. Each subject requires 10 hours of study per week: three hours facilitated and seven self-directed. Assignments may include activity-based tasks or online quizzes, with no formal exams.

International students must not enrol in more than one-third (33%) of online subjects over their course, and must study at least one face-to-face subject each study period. For more information, visit Study in Australia.

Admission criteria

Before you begin your application to study as a domestic student, check that you meet the requirements listed below.

Successful completion of a Bachelor's degree (AQF Level 7);

OR

Applicants without formal qualifications are eligible to apply if they have three (3) years of supervisory/managerial work experience. Applications will be assessed on a case by case basis.

Fees

Course fees can be paid across three study periods. Each instalment to be paid before the beginning of the academic stage census date.
